It’s a simple syllogism. A = B. B = C. Therefore A = C.
It shouldn’t be hard for people to understand, but there are always cognitive dissonance involved, especially when people have supported a company for years as an “alternative to the SJWs.” The problem is, they’re not that far off from the SJW Elite and they’ve had a history of bending the knee since they dropped the Sad Puppies and tried their hardest to sweep their movement under the rug to try to fit back in with the mainstream industry.
It’s tough, so when I give accurate criticism about their response to an SJW attack — in which their leader publicly threw their forum members (THEIR CUSTOMERS) under the bus — in order to appease the mob, people couldn’t handle my very accurate analysis.
I’ll lay it out again here very simply because it needs to be said:
- Baen intentionally abandoned the Sad Puppies movement when it was clear Larry Correia wouldn’t get an award from it because they wanted to be “apolitical” and they saw the movement hurt them with the mainstream, satanic pedophile establishment. Baen wanted more than anything to get back within their good graces and not be “a right-wing publisher.”
- Every time politics of the publisher is brought up, you’ll see Baen authors disavowing being a right-wing publisher, as David Weber did yesterday in his response. They don’t want to be associated with the right-wing.
- They put up a statement publicly agreeing with the SJW post that there is potentially “Illegal speech” on their forums, and removed the forum as an action to take a service away from their customers.
- Toni Weisskopf, EIC of Baen, is GUEST OF HONOR AT WORLDCON — the biggest red flag of all. If they were truly opposition, she’d be banned like I am. Remember, it was Worldcon who made the lives of Correia, Hoyt, and Torgersen HELL for years because of the Sad Puppies.
If you’re clearly looking at this, Baen is not the company it once was. I know it’s got some great stuff from your childhood, but every corporate publisher has these predispositions. All corporate entertainment is just like this. The direction they’re going means it’s only going to get worse, not better.
My analysis on their response, all the same, was meant to help them as advice more than anything, and unfortunately there is a contingent of Baen-zombies who just kept picking saying I shouldn’t be 1. reporting on subjects of SJW attacks (obviously they don’t follow along here) or 2. giving analysis because I “don’t have skin in the game.”
By their logic, which is not logic but an emotional, cognitively dissonant response, no one should talk about the Gina Carano situation because they “don’t have skin in the game.”
People often choose their corporate entertainment over logic, which is part of the struggle of fighting against the establishment TradPub or movie studios, or anything. You can’t make them see what’s going on until they truly see it, and when they have their heroes involved who they’ve long since supported, they can’t get past it.
Unfortunately, their rage went off the scale when Larry Correia went ballistic on me in a gamma-esque rant because I mentioned Baen is inconsistent in their authors’ rallying “against cancel culture” when Baen has gone out of its way to cancel me for “WrongMeme.”
Larry insisted he didn’t cancel me, despite banning me from his facebook group 2 years ago, making a long-winded blog rant about how “bad” I am like John Scalzi would do, urging all of his fellow authors to block me and never interact with me, which was followed by Sarah Hoyt and Brad Torgersen, and siccing a mob on me. This IS cancel culture, it IS exactly what the SJWs are doing to Baen now. It is what Disney did to Gina Carano.
The libertarians do the same thing and purity test out right wingers.
As I’ve said time and time again, I know this isn’t about me, but they’re frustrated with Vox Day because they blame him for the Sad Puppies not winning awards and “making their movement look bad”, despite the fact it wasn’t his fault. They were a target anyway for their WrongThink and there is no such thing as WrongerThink in the SJW retard mind. I’m a close target where Vox is off doing his own thing, so it’s a proxy war. You’ll note they use the same language about me as they use about Vox “If only JDA wouldn’t say inflammatory things, there wouldn’t be heat on us!”
As a response to further cancel me — Larry’s mob came and got me suspended from Facebook by mass reporting my posts yesterday. Seeing as Larry is incensed at Facebook for banning him from his group, maybe he’ll apologize to me? I doubt it.
UPDATE: For all of Larry’s bleating about Facebook, he’s back on it and posting. Guess he’s too addicted to hold to his “principles”.
The truth is, if Vox wasn’t here, if I weren’t here, they still would be under attack, and they would still be appeasing these people and losing ground. It’s just easier to blame someone who’s really fighting the good fight than actually take on the world. My existence as a non-Baen author fighting against SJWs and telling them where they can go stuff their B.S. has no bearing on their desire to coexist with the SJWs and go to their Pedo Convention with the creeps.
Baen wants The Ticket at the end of the day, the authors want acceptance and recognition from people who absolutely hate them and want them dead. There’s nothing you nor I can do about that. It’s sad they won’t embrace the right and work with us rather than the opposite, but these aren’t fighters, they’re equivocators.
I’m locked out of Facebook now so I can’t post this, but hopefully people find this post anyway and give it a logical read. Notice the patterns. Speak up. The cancel culture mob, whether it be SJW’s mob or Larry’s mob, loses its power if they realize they don’t have consensus. This is why what I do is necessary.
Thanks for reading, everyone. Onward and upward for the cause.
